No. I have been teaching math for so long that I know different ways to teach each subject. I ask that the student brings me their class room lessons so I can see how the school is teaching it. Then I will adapt my tutoring to fit your needs. If I see that you are having a hard time with the way your school teaches it, we can always try another method that may be more effective to your style of learning.

No, $75-$85/hour is the current rate for an skilled Math Tutor. With my level of experience, I could charge more... but want to keep the price reachable for the students that want the best math education that can't always afford an "Elite Math Tutor". However, depending on how market forces affect the tutoring industry, I may offer some sessions at a reduced rate for a period of time. As of now I am getting more business that I can handle offering my current rates. I guess my many years of quality math service speaks for itself!

No. Since homeschooling involves more work on my part than standard tutoring sessions (e.g., lesson planning, grading, progress reports, etc.), I cannot offer this service at a reduced rate. Most parents of home-schooled students negotiate a 36-session contract to keep overall costs lower.

I only offer individual tutoring for all students. Group rates must have a minimum of 5 students for private school, charter school, and home school groups. If you would like math tutoring for your group, please email me for group rates. I do ask that you provide a place for the group to meet that will accommodate everyone comfortably (maximum of 25 students) in a quiet learning environment.

I can't say that I have never done this in the past, but it's very seldom that I allow this. If I have a need for a good or service that you or your company offers to the public, then I would be glad to entertain the possibility of exchanging a good or service for tutoring sessions. I am always open to creative ideas!

No. I have never posted a request for employees as I prefer to operate as a "one-woman show." I don't expect to hire any tutors in the foreseeable future, although this situation could change as the tutoring industry continues to grow exponentially.
